Vantrell Ledger

Privacy policy

Last updated 1 November 2026

Short version: we store your email and your journal so you can use it on any device. Only you can see your trades. We don't sell your data, show ads, or use tracking cookies. You can export or delete everything at any time.

Who runs Vantrell Ledger

Vantrell Ledger is run by Egill Örn Stefánsson in Reykjanesbær, Iceland, who is responsible for your data under the EU/EEA General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Contact: hello@vantrell.app.

What we store

If you use the journal without an account, everything stays in your browser on your device and nothing about your trades reaches us.

Why we store it

Who handles it for us

These providers only process data on our behalf. Some are US companies, and transfers outside the EEA are covered by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. We never sell your data and never share your trades with anyone.

Cookies and browser storage

We don't use advertising or tracking cookies. The site saves a few things in your browser's local storage so it works: your sign-in session, a copy of your journal for speed and offline use, and settings like your theme.

How long we keep it

Your data is kept while you have an account. When you delete your account, your account, trades and screenshots are deleted straight away. Hosting backups are overwritten within a few weeks.

Your rights

You can see, correct, export and delete your data. Most of this you can do yourself: edit any trade, download a backup file under Import & backup, or click Delete my account there. For anything else, email hello@vantrell.app. You can also complain to the Icelandic Data Protection Authority, Persónuvernd.

Age

Vantrell Ledger is for people aged 18 and over, since it's built for trading.

Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect.
